Nationally-known book artist Ed Hutchins came to the Denver area in July in support of Stand and Deliver, a traveling exhibition of movable and sculptural books of which he was curator.

Hutchins charmed and challenged local book artists in a slide show and reception for the works at the Denver Public Library, a weekend class for the Guild of Book Workers, and a tunnel book workshop at the Lafayette Public Library and lecture at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art for the Book Arts League.

Stand and Deliver, which accepted a book by BAL member Evert Brown, was brought to the area as a joint effort of the Book Arts League, the Clorado Calligraphers' Guild, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers, and the University of Colorado, Boulder, Special Collections, and the Denver Public Library.
